Name: John Smith

John is the Director of the TRENZ Homes network. John brings a wealth of knowledge having over 40 years experience in the housing industry with the last 22 years being self employed. Formerly the founder of The House Company, Johns passion is selling houses!

Outside work John can be found watching the All Blacks, spending time with his kids and grandkids or on the deck in the sun!


Name: Robert Ward

Robert is the General Manager for TRENZ Homes.

Bob is originally from California and has been in NZ since 1988 with a vast building industry experience.

In past roles he has been a Construction Manager for a large National Building company and 15 years with Placemakers where he worked as Finance & Administration Manager, Account Manager and then owned and operated the Whangarei and Mangawhai businesses including A Frame and Truss Manufacturing plant.

In his spare time he is a keen surfer, loves to travel, spend time with family and is a voracious reader.


Name: Ismae Meyer

Ismae Meyer is the Commercial Manager for TRENZ Homes.

Ismae is a Whangarei girl through and through, and has had over 10 years in the building industry working with PlaceMakers. Starting at the age of 17 she worked her way up the ranks of the branch, getting experience across all areas such as Accounts, Admin, Trade and Telephone Sales, Kitchens and Bathrooms, not to mention being the go-to IT Guru, finally being promoted to Finance & Administration Manager in 2012.

In her spare time Ismae loves spending time with her family, getting outdoors in the winterless north sunshine, as well as finding a quiet spot for reading.


Name: Leah Maple

Leah is one of the Quantity Surveyors for TRENZ Homes.

Leah is a Northland local, having been born and raised in Whangarei. She has an extensive background in high level administration, project management, and sales. Leah first became interested in the construction industry when working in the Strategic Projects Office at Northland DHB, assisting with major capital projects. She then worked on a number of DHB construction projects including repurposing an office block for mental health patients, installing a new MRI machine, and refurbishing the ED triage area. Leah then spent 18 months in a business sales role, before jumping at the opportunity to work for TRENZ.

Having recently moved into her own TRENZ home, Leah understands the excitement of planning a new home and watching the building come to completion. In her spare time, Leah can be found enjoying the Northland outdoors - camping, fishing and horse-riding.

Name: Christine Smith

Christine is the Finance Administrator for TRENZ Homes:. Her main focus is looking after the accounts at TRENZ Homes.

Outside of work she loves the outdoors, walks for miles and goes to the Gym and Pilates.

Christine also loves socialising with friends, watching the All Blacks, spending time with the family and spoiling the grand kids.


Name: Ryan Wiggins

Ryan Wiggins is the Quantity Surveyor for TRENZ Homes.

Ryan moved to the winterless north after cutting his teeth as a Quantity Surveyor at a PQS consultancy in Auckland. He worked on a number of projects ranging from high-end residential builds, heritage building restoration and multi-storey apartment building re-clad’s.

Prior to that Ryan spent time as a police officer in Gisborne, and two years playing rugby in the UK and travelling Europe.

Ryan is now enjoying the slower pace of life in Northland, with his wife Jess and baby boy Felix. In his spare time (when he finds it), Ryan enjoys surfing, cycling and hunting.


Name: Selena Kirk

Selena Kirk has been a part ot TRENZ Homes for 3 years now, in an Operations Adminstration role.

Outside of work Selena enjoys time with her family, whether it be at home on their lifestyle block with her husband and 3 children, playing hockey and assisting running their local JMC hockey club, camping, horse riding - anything to do with the outdoors really!


Name: Ashleigh Barchard

Ashleigh is originally from Waiheke Island and moved to Whangarei in 1998. Ashleigh comes to TRENZ Homes with 11 years Administration experience in various fields and is excited to be a part of the amazing team.

Outside of work, Ashleigh is a keen netball player, and loves travelling! Her favourite place she has been so far is Thailand! She is a Burlesque dancer with a dance troupe called Burlesque Beauties, they perform at events around Northland, run 6 week workshops that promote confidence and recently just sold out two shows at Forum North.


Name: Jemimah Walker

Jemimah Walker is originally from Fiji. Home is Auckland with a big move to Whangarei in 2013. Jemimah comes to TRENZ Homes with 15 years of customer service experience from hospitality to finance & credit management roles and is looking forward to learning about the building & kitset home industry.

Outside of work Jemimah leads a busy life with her husband and 3 young children, downtime when it does become available is spent out socialising with friends & enjoying the great outdoors doing hikes up the local mounts, trips to the beach and enjoying the beautiful Whangarei scenary.
